Downtown Bellevue, Washington has been completely transformed over the past 10-15 years. Incorporated in 1953, Bellevue was more of a bedroom community - most people worked and played elsewhere! It continued to grow into a retail center with Bellevue Square but went quiet past 5PM. In the past 15 years, the city has transformed with retail, office and residential projects - the city now boasts a number of major companies headquartered downtown, thousands of new residential units and a vast selection of retail & restaurants! And, it's not done yet, while pre-2008 saw nearly 20 construction cranes in the downtown corridor, things are heating up again! Watch for new projects being updated here in the coming months!
