Aerial Agriculture Video
Ag pilots are critical to the production of crops (food, fiber & bio-fuel) - from fertilizing fields in the early spring to fighting disease and eliminating pests that can destroy crops. Aerial applicators are an efficient and productive way to maximize yields while minimizing the impact of driving through fields and crops with a ground application. Hearing the planes begin to fertilize the crops that were seeded in the fall is a welcoming of spring and a sign that field work is ready to begin after a cold winter!
It's an art and almost mesmerizing to watch the low altitude maneuvers. Whether you can see them or not, you can usually hear that familiar sound, somewhere in the distance from dawn to dusk throughout the spring and into early summer.
